Terry Weiner, Senior Consultant, California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC)
Terry specializes in lean enterprise, quality systems, and supply chain optimization, working directly with key clients and partners to develop solutions and approaches that assist organizations to implement and sustain transformations. Terry has leveraged his expertise to help develop the risk aspect of the MEP SCO program, and is particularly interested in the data side of the equation.
Terry brings unique value by helping companies connect advanced manufacturing theory and the strategic and practical application of technology, methods, and tools. Terry has deep experience in a broad range of industries including aerospace, defense, automotive, electronics, plastics, and healthcare and has held executive positions in production design, quality assurance, and operations. As a senior consultant and Six Sigma Master Black Belt, he has coached and facilitated over 100 companies in the successful implementation of improvement initiatives combining leading edge project and change management methodologies to achieve measurable and sustainable gains.
Terry is an American Society for Quality (ASQ) certified quality manager, certified quality auditor, and certified quality engineer. He was trained by Toyota on the Toyota Production System and certified in change management. Terry earned his MBA from Pepperdine University and his BS in pharmacy from the University of Arizona. He is also a past chair of the San Fernando Valley section of the ASQ.
John Remsey, Senior Manufacturing Specialist, Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center (IMEC)
John has more than 19 years of business and manufacturing experience with an emphasis in supply chain optimization, information technology, lean manufacturing and production control. As a member of the MEP SCO team, John has provided leadership to the development and deployment of SCO tools and services throughout the national network of MEP Centers.
He has worked with numerous companies to identify, select, implement, and support manufacturing systems. John also provides in-depth business services in strategic planning, feasibility analysis, financial analysis, and business expansion. His background includes positions in information technology, production control, activity-based management, logistics, and small business counseling.
John has a BS in finance, a BS in business economics, and an MBA, from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and has attended training/education by the Shingo Institute on the Shingo Prize standards for Operational Excellence.
